Reader Be Warned

Okay, so I added a few new blogs... and now I've deleted some.  I hope I didn't make too many of you sad - those kindly people who stopped by here (even though I hardly post anything) in order access someone else's blog (who posts daily)... Here's what I'm going to try in order to make up for it: I will try to post WEEKLY!  Yes, you read that correctly.  Blogging is now possible from my phone so I reeeeeally am out of excuses.  And I'm finding that fewer and fewer recipes out there sound new and interesting - I'm pretty good at cooking new things.  So brace yourselves for the occasional recipe and accompanying poor photos to document my culinary escapades.  :)  Or just more goofy photos of Maddie and me.  Cheers!

Mommy Pirate

I just added a slew (well, for me it's a slew) of new blogs to follow.  I started to realize that sometimes the Pinterest photos I like or the blog guest posts I like were often the same people, so I thought I'd follow them directly.  As I was doing that, Maddie imagined our house to be a pirate ship, complete with a parrot on my shoulder, an eyepatch for her, and treasure to be found on the stairs, in her room...basically everywhere in our house.    Each time she'd return, she'd say "Here, mommy pirate!"  and hand me the imaginary gold pieces.  She's going to spend the next week with Grandma Pam and Grandpa Jim, and I think they're going to have a very good time.  :)

Garage door

Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you, thank you, thank you!

It's been a loooong time since I've updated this blog... sorry!  I have no idea what Maddie says in between "ladies and gentlemen" and "thank you, thank you, thank you" but I thought it was pretty darn cute.  :)

Painted House

THANK YOU to all the friends and family who helped with "The Painting of the House"!!!

Seems weird that just last week this was white and gray (OK, there was a lot of bare wood showing, too)

Great job by everyone!

I think the paint on the hostas adds character. :)

Ahhh. All done!

Arts & Crafts

Amanda and I thought it'd be fun

to dye some eggs with our daughter and son.

Before we knew it, the dye had been thrown...

Maybe we should wait 'til the kids are grown.

Maddie was sad that she couldn't help anymore...

And Bryce was banished to the kitchen floor.

Thus endeth our first attempt at an Easter craft.

What One Must

When one wants to wear one's snow boots inside but already has pajamas on (and the footies don't fit in the boots), one does what one must.
